Cosmetic Tattoo Candidate Guidelines and Contradictions:

You can not receive a cosmetic tattoo if: 

All Cosmetic Tattoo:

  • Autoimmune suppressants and(or) have an autoimmune disease

  • Allergic to artificial color

  • Allergic to Lidocaine, Tetracaine, or Epinephrine

  • Psoriasis, Rash or burn in the procedure area

  • Hemophilia

  • Diabetes

  • Currently undergoing Chemotherapy

    Lip Blush:

  • Experience cold sores/ herpes simplex virus or fever blisters periodically or occasionally (you may get medication from your doctor to surpass the virus 2 weeks ahead)

  • Have a tendency to keloid scar

You must postpone your microblading appointment if:

  • Had botox or fillers in the last 30 days; book 30 days after

  • Taking blood thinners or fish oil; stop taking 48 hours before

  • Taking antibiotics; book 2 weeks after you are finished

  • Currently have a sunburn or rash or psoriasis in the area we will be working on; book 1 week after the skin is clear and calm

  • Currently pregnant or breastfeeding; book after you are no longer pregnant or breastfeeding

  • Have had an epileptic seizure within 30 days


How to prepare for your Cosmetic Tattoo Appointment:

Microblading & MicroShading:

  • You may wax, sugar, or thread your eyebrows before your appointment at a minimum of 3 days prior, or you may come in with your brows fully grown out and we can shape them at your appointment

  • Do not wax or tweeze your hair 3 days before

  • Do not get brow lamination within 3 weeks of appointment

  • Think of your ideal brow, concerns about your current brow, and a reference photo if you have one

  • You may wear makeup to the appointment to give us an idea of how you normally style your brow

Lash Enhancement:

  • Do not wear contacts

  • Do not have lash extensions on

  • Do not get a chemical lash treatment for 3 weeks prior, like a lash lift or tint

Lip Blush:

  • Exfoliate lips a few days before

    Moisturize lips heavily with vaseline, coconut oil or aquaphor for at least 3 days before

All Cosmetic Tattoo appointments Pre- Care:

  • Absolutely NO caffeine or coffee before a cosmetic tattoo appointment

  • Avoid all blood thinners for 72 hours prior to appointment; aspirin, fish oil, vitamin-e, ibuprofen, or other blood thinners like alcohol and caffeine 24 hours prior

  • It is best to not work out the day of your appointment

  • You must be off antibiotics for at least 2 weeks before a cosmetic tattoo appointment

  • You cannot receive a cosmetic tattoo if you are sunburnt or have had recent sun exposure within 2 weeks prior

  • Do not get botox or fillers up to 2 weeks prior to your cosmetic tattoo appointment

  • Stop using exfoliant skincare products that include retinol or glycolic acids at least 2 weeks prior to your cosmetic tattoo appointment

  • Do not get facial treatments such as facials, microneedling, microdermabrasion, or other skin treatments 4 weeks prior to your cosmetic tattoo appointment

  • During a menstrual cycle, you may be more sensitive to pain

Important: Do not come to the studio for any reason if you or a person in your household are feeling sick or have come in contact with someone who is.


How to care for your Cosmetic Tattoo after your appointment:

Microblading & MicroShading

Day 1: 

  1. Do not wash brows until the following day.

  2. Apply pressure to the area with a dry paper towel to absorb lymph and fluid to curb scabbing. 

  3. Reapply coconut oil or Aquaphor throughout the remainder of the day. Keep the area moist but not saturated. 

  • Avoid alcohol, chemicals, sun, sweat, makeup, any products with scent or non-natural ingredients. 

Day 2: 

  1. Wash the area with unscented soap and warm water.

  2. Continue keeping the area clean with unscented soap daily for 1 week.

  3. Apply pressure with a paper towel and reapply coconut oil or aquaphor 3 times a day or more for at least 10 days.

Avoid for 2 weeks after:

  • sauna, sun, sweat, brow makeup, makeup around the brow area, skincare with retinol, Benzoyl Peroxide, Salicylic Acid

  • Jacuzzis, pools, ocean, or submerging your face in a bath

Lash Enhancement Aftercare

Day 1: 

  • Do not wash lashes until the following day.

  • Avoid alcohol, chemicals, sun, sweat, makeup, any products with scent or nonnatural ingredients. 

Day 2: 

  • Wash with warm water or saline solution gently with a q-tip 

  • Continue keeping the area clean with unscented soap daily for 1 week.

  • Apply pressure with a paper towel and reapply coconut oil or aquaphor 3 times a day or more for at least 10 days.

Avoid for 2 weeks after:

  • sauna, sun, sweat, brow makeup, makeup around the brow area, skincare with retinol, Benzoyl Peroxide, Salicylic Acid

  • Jacuzzis, pools, ocean, or submerging your face in a bath

Lip Blush Aftercare

Day 1: 

  • Clean and wipe are 1 to 2 times a day 

  • Add vaseline as often as needed to keep lips are as moisturized as possible

  • Do not eat for 1 to 2 hours after your appointment

  • Do not eat anything spicy or very hot for 24 hours, like soup or coffee; OR please use a straw.

  • No hot shower that would cause sweat to collect around the treatment area for 24 hours.

  • No sun directly on the treatment area for 7 to 10 days.

  • No creams with chemicals, scrubs, or SPF for 10 days; ONLY vaseline.

  • No lip fillers in or around the treatment area for 3 weeks before or after the appointment

Day 2- 7 

  • Avoid alcohol, chemicals, sun, sweat, makeup, any products with scent or non-natural ingredients for 10 days

  • Keep lips as moist as possible with vaseline and no makeup for at least 10 days

Tattoo Removal Aftercare

Day 1: 

  • As little aftercare as possible!

  • Do not get the area wet for 24 hours

  • Keep them dry and clean without adding moisture or picking for as long as possible

Day 2- 7 

  • Wash with saline solution or plain lightly warm water

  • Avoid alcohol, chemicals, sun, sweat, makeup, any products with scent or non-natural ingredients for 10 days

  • Apply a very small amount of saline solution or vitamin e oil

  • Allow scabbing to ensue without picking or deterring the scabbing process by overly moisturizing
